Already the thousandth Gaudi golfer on the course!
Do you know Gaudi Golf? Maybe you’ve played golf or miniature golf before? Small or large, swing since this year at the Gaudi Golf in Annaberg-Lungötz at the Kopfberg the golf clubs, the fun factor is in the foreground. The easy hike with fantastic Gosaukamm panorama becomes a hiking experience for the whole family with the creative Gaudi Golf Stations.
The committee members of the tourism association have created 12 fun, exciting and very creative play stations mainly from local wood in their free time. The thousandth golfer was already on site and told me her highlights…
What is Gaudi Golf?
But what is meant by Gaudi Golf? It’s similar to miniature golf and anyone who has ever played a game of miniature golf knows how fun it can be. Of course, it’s also annoying when you simply don’t hit the hole and thus collect the points. Depending on skill, simply a great recreational activity and fun to watch for fellow players.
Gaudi Golf in Annaberg is played as part of a leisurely hike around the Kopfberg. To get from one station to another, it is not enough to take a few steps. Here it is allowed to hike, but leisurely and you have enough time to process the successes or even failures of the last station. The physical well-being will also be well taken care of. At the snack station “Harreit” or at the SalzburgDolomitenhof you can fortify yourself and take a break.
12 stations await you in the middle of the forest – where the hay figure trail also leads. The natural environment from rural to alpine ambience flows into the individual golf stations.
The Gaudi Golf course was presented to the public only in mid-May. RTS Salzburg was there with the camera and gives you insights into the Gaudi Golf Parcour.
Since the start, many families, groups and individual players have already been on the road.To be more precise, the 1000th player was recently on site! The enthusiastic Gaudi golf player was with her and a family friend this year for the first time in Annaberg-Lungötz on vacation. She was quite excited about this game….
Which Gaudi Golf variant would you like?
During their hike around the Kopfberg, the families noticed the signs from Gaudi Golf, they had also discovered this offer on the guest card and wanted to try it out right away. There are two variants of Gaudi Golf, the blue variant is easier and is played on a part of the hayfield path. The orange variant is longer and a bit steeper, but this trail is also suitable for generations, accompanied by the wonderful sight of the Gosaukamm with Bischofsmütze. Both variants start at the Salzburg Dolomitenhof, the paths can be connected and played together.
So off we went, mastering the entire course: “It is a very nice idea, also in connection with the hay artworks that can also be seen here. The concept fits much better into the wonderful nature than normal miniature golf.” On this round, the young fun golfer liked the Municipal Coat of Arms station best, because of all seven players she was the only one who managed this obstacle. Bravo!!!
After the game is before the game, she must have thought, because she enjoyed it so much that two days later she went for another spin with her dad: “Thefox and hare or the wagon wheel are easy to play,” she says, “but the municipal coat of arms and the bread oven are quite difficult.” And she’s not that wrong, I’m always a little bit scared of the oven too.
Thousandth fun golfer
When she and her dad went to the Dolomitenhof in Salzburg to return the equipment, she was amazed: she was welcomed there as the 1000th visitor to the Gaudi Golf Course! As a thank you, the hardworking Gaudi golfer received a certificate and an engraved Gaudi Golf club. Together with her whole family she was invited to dinner.
Wollt Ihr Gaudi Golf auch einmal ausprobieren?
Start ist beim Salzburger Dolomitenhof, dort werden Schläger, Ball und Score Card um 5 Euro (3 Euro für Kinder unter 15 Jahre + 5 Euro Kaution) ausgegeben.
